Carbon Laser Facial

 A carbon laser  facial is a revolutionary laser treatment that is completely painless with minimal-to-zero downtime. The chemical structure of carbon latches on to dirt, excess oil, pollutants and toxins. The carbon particles penetrate pores. As the ND Yag laser passes over the carbon particles the carbon particles absorb the laser energy and vaporizes . This exfoliates the skin, unclogs pores and stimulate collagen production causing pores to shrink.

Procedure

• The carbon peel treatment begins by applying a layer of liquid carbon to the face where it  penetrates deep into the pores.
• This is then left to activate for about 15-30 mins.
• Once the cream penetrates the pores, the ND Yag laser is passed over the carbon layer. 
• Laser light is highly attracted to the carbon particles. When the laser is passed over the area, it destroys the carbon, taking dead skin cells, contaminants and oil with it. 
• Achieving a deep skin resurfacing effect and immediate skin smoothing.
• Using the 1064nm wavelength and the large 8mm spot size, ND Yag laser is the ideal modality for the laser-assisted carbon peel treatment.
• Treatment time allocated to a carbon laser facial is about 60 minutes, 

After Care

• Although make-up may be applied to the treated area afterward, we highly recommend that you give your pores a rest for the remainder of the day.
• Treatment is non-invasive and will not cause bleeding or bruises.
• Treated areas might be may slightly red, swollen and sensitive afterward.
• It is advisable to apply plenty of moisturizer and sun block to soothe the skin and and stay away from excessive sun exposure during the recovery period.
• Treated areas should not be exposed to excessive heat or products which contain chemicals or alcohol, as it might cause hyperpigmentation. 
• Although improvement is visible after each treatment, results are best visible 3 – 6 weeks later.
• Dependent upon your individual needs, we recommend 4 treatments, administered at intervals of 2 – 4 weeks.
• After that follow up treatments can be administered quarterly.

As a result of the varying mechanisms, those prone to eczema or who have sensitive skin may be better suited for a Carbon Laser Facial.

Depending on the intensity of a Chemical Peel, there might be a couple of days downtime.

On the other hand, a Carbon Laser Facial can tackle your acne skin concerns with NO downtime. You’ll be free to carry on with your daily routine after your treatment. Some might experience slight facial redness, but this can be easily covered with makeup and is only temporary.
